With the countdown on for the Great North Run (taking place 11th September 2016), we’ve compiled a half marathon beginner training plan for all those looking to complete a half marathon race or personal 13-mile goal this year.
There are over 100 half marathon races and fun runs still to take place this year, so whether you’re training for one of the upcoming events such as the Great North Run or are just training to reach a personal goal, we’ve developed a training plan that will help you reach the half marathon milestone.
And, in a bid to keep you motivated right through to the final week, we’ll be releasing our downloadable half marathon training plan in two-week bursts.
This week, we kick-off our series with weeks one and two. These weeks are some of the most important if you’re starting your training from scratch, as they will build you up to a three mile run by the end of the second week.
